Contributions are welcome from anybody. It helps if you understand B58 tuning but, if you do not, there are other ways to help such as through proof reading, pointing out stuff that does not make sense, stylistic improvements to icons, linking or adding diagrams.
Specific contributions that would be welcome:
* Adding descriptions for a handful of tables, especially if you have a copy of the B58 FR.
* Articles on specific topics, like boost control, PI, Vanos, burbles, etc.
* A high-level article on understanding torque-based engine control that has a B58 focus (currently, the one linked from this wiki is ford ecoboost focussed).

This is a wiki tailored to those who want a resource for tuning the engine. As such, there will be pages dedicated to

  • a reference for individual tables in the DME, with their descriptions, the units and the tuning goals for which you might need to change them.
  • tutorials on tuning goals like creating a stage 1 tune, calibrating a turbo upgrade, setting up port injection, etc.
  • calibration templates for specific hardware, like the DAW Flowmax, Pure 800, etc. If you are a self-tuner who has spent a hundred iterations dialing in their turbo, we want to hear from you!

B58.wiki aims and anti-aims

This is a site for helping people understand the engine and create tunes. A blown-up B58 is a bad thing. Information that helps people to create clean, correct tunes is a good thing. Avoid defaming individual tuners. Avoid pirating of custom or OTS tunes.

Among the B58 community, there are those who want to keep their car stock, those who want OTS tunes, those who want professional tuners and those who want to tune their car themselves. Don't do anything on this site that would piss off other groups in the B58 community. Live and let live!
