This ensures the spark occurs so late that not all fuel will ignite before the exhaust is open. # editing the fuel table for the same load/rpm range to inject more fuel than is normally required on overrun (i.e. more than zero). The effect is thus to shove unburnt fuel down the exhaust which then ignites in the exhuast. The B58 has built in burble support and does things differently. Instead, you specify the min timing values for which the ECU should enable burbles. The effect in either case is to choose a range of load and RPM over which you want burbles. In line with step 1 above, there are then timing ''offset'' tables which tell the ECU how much to modify the timing during burbles. Questions to answer: # The stock main burble table has timings well into the -20s which are never obtained in practice. This suggests some other table is also being used.
